XRF Spectrometers

X-ray fluorescence (XRF) is an analytical technique used for non-destructive elemental analysis of a wide range of materials. It relies on the principle that when a material is irradiated with high-energy X-rays, the atoms within the material are excited, leading to the emission of characteristic X-ray fluorescence radiation. By detecting and analyzing these emitted X-rays, the elemental composition of the sample can be determined.

Rigaku offers different X-ray fluorescence technologies. Each type of XRF spectrometer has its own strengths and limitations, and the choice of instrument depends on factors such as the sample type, required sensitivity, and analytical precision. XRF is widely used in various industries, including mining, petroleum, metallurgy, environmental science, and archaeology, for qualitative and quantitative elemental analysis of a wide range of materials.
